Meet Diogo de Souza

When Diogo de Souza moved from Brazil to Lowell during his freshman year, he jumped into opportunity with both feet. Through Early College Lowell, he enrolled in dual enrollment courses and graduated with 19 transferable college credits—enough to skip an entire semester when he stepped onto Harvard’s campus. A top scholar and recipient of the 2021 Carney Medal, Diogo earned his B.A. in Mathematics and Physics from Harvard University. Today, he’s continuing to push boundaries at Harvard Medical School, where he works in the Department of Genetics researching how T-cell reprogramming could one day reverse aging.
