Apply for A 2026-2027 Educator Grant

These grants are available to Lowell Public Schools educators (K-12) and school staff including Community Schools Managers. Principals and Assistant Principals are not eligible to apply for funding. 

Allowable Expenses

• Inclusivity Efforts (ex. ADA Supports )

• Other Justifiable Expenses 

Non-Allowable Expenses 

• Stipends for program/project advisors

• Stipends for students to participate 

• Funds for sports teams

• A field trip to a local museum, college, or business that extends classroom learning. 

• A classroom project where students design, build, and present solutions to a challenge. 

• An after-school robotics, coding, chess, or STEM enrichment club. 

• A classroom library featuring diverse, high-interest books that encourage independent reading. 

• A student-led community service or civic engagement project addressing a local need.

• A career exploration initiative that brings industry professionals into the classroom.

• A student art exhibition, poetry showcase, or celebration highlighting student voice.

• A classroom science investigation using hands-on lab materials or engineering design challenges.

• A history or civics project culminating in a student-led exhibition or community presentation.

• A student leadership initiative that develops peer mentors/ambassadors.

• A cross-grade mentoring program where older students support younger learners.

• A celebration recognizing student achievement, growth, or cultural heritage.

12 grants will be awarded in total using the following breakdown:

High School (9-12)

• 1,000 - 1 Award 

• $500 - 1 Award 

• $250 - 2 Awards 

Middle School (5-8)

• 1,000 - 1 Award 

• $500 - 1 Award 

• $250 - 2 Awards 

Elementary School (K-4)

• 1,000 - 1 Award 

• $500 - 1 Award
