Meet Rizma Shaikh

Give Rizma Shaikh a six-hour task, and she’ll finish it in four — and then ask what’s next. Her academic drive and determination have always set her apart, especially when it comes to academics. After graduating from Lowell High School in 2023, Rizma entered UMass Amherst with nearly 20 college credits earned through dual enrollment. She kept up the momentum by taking summer courses and mapping out an accelerated plan. Now, she’s on track to earn her B.S. in Computer Science in just three years, proving that when opportunity meets ambition, there’s no limit to what students like Rizma can achieve.
